Kissing January Good Bye!

Can I have the emotional space to say, “Peace out!” to January?

Like, literally kiss it good bye!

I mean….Whew.

It has been a long month for the Trotter Tribe.

It’s like January has rammed us against the boxing ring ropes for 31 rounds.

{I mean can there even be 31 rounds?! Good Lawd! 31 days has seemed like 31 rounds!}

I only have a few moments to write tonight because well, life is calling…however, I am sure that there is another that needs the encouragement that Spurgeon poured over my heart late last night….thought of sharing this with you all day. Here it is…

“I bear my witness that the worst days I have ever had have turned out to be my best days. And when God has seemed most cruel to me, he has then been most kind. If there is anything in this world for which I would bless him more than for anything else, it is for pain and affliction. I am sure that in these things the richest, tenderest love has been manifested to me. Our Father’s wagons rumble most heavily when they are bringing us the richest freight of the bullion of his grace. Love letters from heaven are often sent in black-edged envelopes. The cloud that is black with horror is big with mercy. Fear not the storm. It brings healing in its wings, and when Jesus is with you in the vessel, the tempest only hastens the ship to its desired haven.” ~ Charles Spurgeon

My prayer for you and me as we step into February:

May the God of mercy pour out a renewed anointing over the weary soul. May God’s tenderest love be made manifest to those that have such deep need for a liberal showcasing of His lovingkindness. May the freight of God’s Grace find us and may His wings of healing overshadow our paralyzing weaknesses. May we be found drawing nearer Lord to Thee…

  1. Our ladies at Eastland Hills are about to begin a study, Gideon. The next words under the title are Your weakness, God’s strength. You are such a cheerleader for Him that I know every delivery of Grace to your heart will be magnified for others to experience. Be Still, my sweet friend, God has a train a coming. BE ENCOURAGED AS HE WILL USE ALL THOSE JANUARY’S TO MINISTER TO OTHERS IN THE FUTURE. Blessings, from your older sis in the faith
